RIVERS EDGE MAKES GOLF DIGESTS LIST OF AMERICAS 100 GREATEST PUBLIC GOLF COURSES Magazine also rates Rivers Edge One Of The Best In N. C. April 1, 2005, Shallotte, N.C. Rivers Edge debuted at number 83 on Golf Digests prestigious list of Americas 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses, published in the May issue of the magazine. The course, which is managed by Signature Golf Group, was also ranked in the top 25 courses in North Carolina. Rivers Edge was among 19 new courses to make the prestigious biennial list of the Top 100 public access courses, which was first published in 2003. Set high on bluffs overlooking the Shallotte River, the course is best known for its spectacular views, challenging design and great conditioning. The May edition of Golf Digest also lists its raters choices for Best In State, placing Rivers Edge at number 19 in North Carolina a state known for its great golf courses. This ranking positions Rivers Edge above such well-known layouts as Pine Needles and Pinehurst Resort Number 7. Rivers Edge was also on the Best In State list in 2003.
