GolfWeek Magazine recently came out with their list of top courses in America and Rivers Edge was ranked #5 among North Carolina's Top 10 Public Access Courses, closely behind Pinehurst #2, Pine Needles, Mid-Pines and Pinehurst #4. Rounding out the top ten were Pinehurst #8, Tanglewood Park, Tobacco Road, Pinehurst #7 and Wilmington Municipal. Just prior to this announcement, Golf Digest announced their selection of Top Courses by State. Rivers Edge was listed in the "Top 20 in North Carolina" and simultaneously received 4-1/2 stars in Golf Digest's 2003 Guide to "Places to Play in America". Rivers Edge Golf Club is an Arnold Palmer Signature Course. The course design features seven riverfront holes unique to golf course development and has incredible views of the river and salt marsh. The interior holes feature natural and dramatic topography with lots of elevation changes and dense forests.
